Tucked into the lush and beautiful Willamette Valley, 20 minutes west of Portland and a short hour’s drive from the Pacific Ocean, sits Hillsboro, founded in 1842. Hillsboro is the fifth-largest city in Oregon with approximately 105,000 residences and is the county seat of Washington County. The city hosts many high-technology companies, which has become known as the Silicon Forest.   


Hillsboro is growing fast with the newest development of South Hillsboro. With over 1,400 acres for residential development South of Tualatin Valley Highway (TV Hwy). They are predicting about 8,000 residences of diverse types, styles and price range. This will give housing options for nearly 20,000 community members. The developers have also included 15 miles of multi-use trails, world-class bicycle infrastructure, transit service, school, Town and Village Centers providing a range of shopping services and gathering spaces. 


Hillsboro takes pride in providing community gathering places and leisure opportunities where residents can come together and have meaningful and enriching experiences. The City's public spaces include our beautiful parks, libraries, civic center, athletic fields and sports complexes.
